What kinds of motors are there in computers? Stepper motor for computer control machines

Most computers have a fan that is used to cool the computer. The fan has a motor.

Most computers have a disk. That disk has a motor to spin the disk.

That disk also has a motor to move the read/write head to position the head to the track on the disk.

Mainframe computers (what I worked on prior to retirement) have tape drives.

When you request a tape mount there is usually an automatic system to find the tape and mount it (a robot).

Very old machines! like what I first worked on, would have card readers.

Do you have a scanner attached to you computer?

If you consider a scanner or printer as part of the computer…

There are motors in there.

I’m sure there are more.
