What is a good holding torque for a step motor?
What is a good holding torque for a stepper motor?
It depends what you need the stepper to do, the holding torque is generally the max torque the stepper can produce, at zero or low speed, and since Force = Torque x Radius of the connected pulley to the motor shaft, it will indicate what is the max force you can produce.
If your simply looking for a powerful motor (high HP/watts) then the higher the holding torque the better,
But it really depends on how much power you need at the motor shaft and critically for a stepper, at what speed,
Hope it helps.

Fast Response,Better Acceleration Performance
Thanks to a robust design they can be selected for the harshest environments. Precise, open-loop, speed and position control can be achieved with the application of full step, half step, or microstepping electronics.

Stepping angle is adjustable( rang in 18°±5%), 0.9 °stepper motor's stepping angle is smaller, fineness is higher and positioning is more accurate.Avoiding vibration, runs more smoothly and gets lower noise.
