1.8 degrees and 0.9 degrees are the most common step angles for steppers used in 3D printers. I’m using 0.9 degree steppers in my scratch-built printer.
0.45 degree steppers exist, but aren’t as readily available and cost more.
3.6 degree steppers also exist, but I don’t know why you’d want to use one.
Going to a smaller step angle will require your printer controller to generate a higher step pulse rate, which usually means having a faster processor. Which is why 8 bit controllers usually stick with 1.8 degree steppers, but more recent 32 bit controllers have no problem with 0.9 degree steppers.
