How does a simple stepper motor work?
The motors position Can be controlled accurately without any feedback .As long as the motor is carefully sized to the reluctance motors.
The stepper motor ueses the theory of operation for magnet to make the motor shaft turn a precise.
Distance when a pulse of electricity is provided.The stator has 8poles and rotor has 6poles.The rotor will require 24pulses of electricity to move the 24steps to make one complete revolution.Another way to say this is for each pulse of electricity that the motor receives.
There are 3 main types of stepper motor,they are:
1-permanent magnet stepper motor(Pm).
2-Varibale Reluctance stepper motor (VR).
3-hybrid synchronous stepper motor.
Permanent magnet( PM):permanent magnet motors use a permanent magnet in the rotor & operate on the alternator or repulsion between the rotor permanet magnet and the stator electromagnetic.
variable Reluctance :variable reluctance have a plain iron rotor and operate based on the principle that minimum reluctance occurs with minimum gap,hence the rotor points are attracted towards the stator magnet Poles.
Hybrid synchronous :Hybird stepper motor are named because they use a combination of permanent magnet and Variabel Reluctance techniques to achieve maximum power in a small package size.
